Robert Farrington, Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Robert Farrington is the founder and editor-in-chief of The College Investor. He is also America's Student Loan Debt Expert, and regularly writes about student loan debt, investing, and millennial money.
Robert graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelors degree in Political Science, and a Masters of Business Administration.

Chris Muller, Business Performance & Strategy
Chris Muller handles business performance and strategy at The College Investor. He has been working in the financial sector for most of his career, having spent the last few years writing about money-related topics for various large financial websites.
Chris graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA in Finance.

Elizabeth Shutty, Partnerships
Elizabeth Shutty manages advertiser partnerships at The College Investor. She loves connecting with brands and building relationships, especially in the affiliate space. Originally from Kansas City, she now lives in Mexico City!

Lisa Farrington, Managing Editor
Lisa Farrington is our managing editor, where she brings almost a decade of deep analytical insight to The College Investor. She loves to dive into the details on product and services to help consumers understand any "gotchas" and what to be aware of. Plus, she's incredibly savvy when it comes to hacking budgeting, investing, and saving money.
Lisa graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Claire Tak, Editor At Large
Claire Tak is an editor, content strategist, and writer with a specialty and passion for personal finance and tech. Her experience in finance spans from working at San Francisco-based startups like Credit Sesame and Upstart to large institutions such as Wells Fargo. Hannah Rounds, Writer
Hannah is our principle review and product writer at The College Investor. She has tried almost every piece of financial software in existence, and knows the ins and outs of almost every financial services company.
She has an expertise in taxes, budgeting, and investing.

Mark Kantrowitz, Writer
Mark is an expert on student financial aid, scholarships, 529 plans and student loans. He has been quoted in more than 10,000 newspaper and magazine articles about college admissions and financial aid.
Mark has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Reuters, U.S. News & World Report, MarketWatch, Money Magazine, Forbes, Newsweek and Time. He is also the author of five bestselling books about scholarships and financial aid and holds seven patents.
Mark serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Student Financial Aid, the editorial advisory board of Bottom Line/Personal, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Center for Excellence in Education. He previously served as a member of the board of directors of the National Scholarship Providers Association. Mark has two Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Master's degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

Sarah Sharkey, Writer
Sarah is a personal finance writer covering credit cards, mortgages and student loans. She has written for numerous finance publications, including MagnifyMoney, Business Insider and ChooseFI. Her blog, Adventurous Adulting, helps young adults get a handle on their finances.

Eric Rosenberg, Writer
Eric Rosenberg is a financial writer, speaker, and consultant based in Ventura, California. He holds an undergraduate finance degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA in finance from the University of Denver. Athena Valentine Lent is a nationally published financial columnist for Slate Magazine and other major publications. She’s also a passionate financial educator who received the Plutus Award for Best Personal Finance Resource for Underserved Communities for her work in the Latino community. When not working, she can be found reading a Stephen King novel with her main man, a polydactyl cat named Harrison George.
